Happy Halloween!

It’s Halloween, time to hand out cheap candy to little beggars and scare the crap out of them. I really do love this holiday, it has been one of my favorites forever. I have the prerequisite scary music cd’s and horror sounds. The scary things all over the house. Unfortunately, I have opted to go to my church’s halloween party this year, no scary stuff, bleh. For now I must go and do the Monster Mash, but I will be back!

I admit I was bored and started clicking links again. This time it led to something that was shocking and disturbing. There seems to be a blog war and I wasn’t invited. First lets have a rundown of the links I clicked to get there!

Notes from the edge!

This could be a list but I am going to resist the temptation. Here are a few of the pleasures of this month. I love Hardees sausage biscuits, I don’t care that they are greasy and sending me to an early grave. There is something about a hot biscuit with sausage on it that just makes my morning go better. I love halloween, I took my little one to playschool today and they are having their halloween parade today so all the kids are dressed up.(yes I did take pictures and I will post any worthy of it). Kids in costumes are the most adorable( I can’t believe I used that word) things on earth. I love halloween because it gives me the chance to scare the living crap out of people and it’s legal. I dont spend as much time on it as I used too, I remember getting up at 6am one year to put on makeup for my costume. I dressed as a zombie so the makeup was intense, it took 4 hours for the makeup alone, I had set up the latex appliances the night before so they didn’t take any time at all to apply. The sad part of this was it was for my works costume contest. I worked with a buch of witless wimps, most of them came as witches and scarecrows, store bought crap too, here I am putting all this effort into a costume and they come with a pointy hat and a cape and think they are scary, bleh. Needless to say I won the contest.

Are you ready for the best part of this story? I worked in a restaraunt at the time as a line cook, where the customers could see me. I saw alot of people decide not to eat that day. I really was quite hideous, still am but in a different way.

When all else fails!

In keeping with the tradition of my titles not having anything to do with the post, I give you this. A post about nothing. It’s almost time to turn in, as I sat here trying to think up some amusing tidbit or interesting factoid. I realized that my mind was blank, it happened over at Buzz’s place. I haven’t been the same since I clicked that comment link. I called my lawyer and he says I don’t have a case against him. So in the tradition of American justice, no offense Bill, I have decided to file a frivilous lawsuit and make it drag on for years till neither I nor Buzz have any money left.
No offense Buzz, I like your blog and all, but this is the only way I keep my sanity and you have added a sense of stress by leaching my brain with your comment link.
In other news, I still have nothing funny to say!

Random observations

Here are a few things I have noticed today, some interesting some ont so interesting.

  • My desk is a mess again 2 days after cleaning it up
  • The people at the UPS store are alot friendlier if you print your own shipping labels before you come in.
  • My 3 year old eats way too much peanut butter and jelly
  • Some people find anything entertaining
  • I hate making lists
  • This is the longest list I have ever made
  • Most people won’t make it this far through the list, short attention spans you know.
  • People who do make it this far are either anal or very bored
  • This is the last item in the list
