I turn 40 in a few days. You would think that in 40 years I would have some good stories to tell. You would be right! Unfortunately I waited so long to write them down that I have forgotten them.
Getting older sucks, it seems like the older I get the less enthusiasm I have for anything. I figure if I keep it up at this rate I will be completely comatose by the time I am 50!

I turn 40 in July and have been thinking about it for a year. Maybe your enthusiasm will return after you pass the birthday and realize you are still alive and not much different. Or you will just fall deeper into a morass of sloth. What do I know?
dude you are so backwards on this. Memory is overrated but wisdom increases with age. I’ve been 40 for nearly a year now and things have never been better; I’m having more fun and I’m in better shape than I’ve ever been before. What’s my secret? I have no clue, but it seems to be working. Meantime, here‘s a poem I wrote for my 40th – feel free to stand on the bar of your favorite tavern and recite it through a megaphone on your lucky day, maybe you’ll get a free beer out of it!
