Toys are cool!

I love those crane machines, you know the ones. They are in every truck stop, convenience store, and major department store in the country. As I was saying, I love them. I have always had pretty good luck at getting what it is I want from them. This is made all the more enjoyable when you watch someone plug ten bucks in quarters trying to get a fifty cent stuffed toy.

I watched someone attempt to get a spongebob pineapple from one yesterday till he ran out of quarters. I walked up and put in my fifty cents and got it on the first try. I have decided that it is not only a cool toy that I wanted, it is also a trophy for me to flaunt till the end of time. Or until the guy who was trying before me moves out of the country!

When is a post not a post

Some things recently changed the way I blog. Well it has also created a bit of a void in the things I think are amusing. As I am sure many people have noticed there is a change in the blog world. Not just in my part but in all parts. People are getting sued or fired for their blogs. Some have taken the hard way and lost because of it. There are those who adapt such as starting a new blog anonymously or just hoping no one ever finds out. Then there are the few, those who just realize for whom the bell tolls and try to clean up their act.

All of those ways can be difficult if you are used to just letting it all hang out. I think the hardest by far is those who must learn to omit those things that would cause them trouble in the first place, no matter how harmless something may seem at the time, time can change everything.

For some of us, when we first started blogging google and the other search engines were just a tool, not a weapon against us. Over time and many visits by search bots though you can build up a treasure trove of otherwise harmless posts that when put together by google can seem quite slanderous. Posts that aren’t even together can be put together by the search engines so they can show a successful result. In the past that wasn’t a problem, now it is.

I think it is time for google and the others to take a look at their technology and see the harm it could cause someone when it is used the wrong way or by someone who doesn’t understand those little blurbs in the results aren’t always in the same paragraph or even the same post.

What it all boils down to is we all need to watch ourselves. Any one who has blogged for more than a year has the potential to have the results of a web search used against them. It doesn’t matter if you were innocent or not, all it takes is for google to put two sentences together that weren’t meant to be. All I am saying is people watch your backs, what may seem all peaches and cream at the time can turn on you in an instant. Even those of you who blog from work and your boss knows it, just let him come up with a bad web search listing your site and then you may understand the fragility of blogging and freedom of speech as well.

Other then that downer lets try and have a great day and maybe tomorrow I will have something good to post. Actually I already have some stuff I just wanted to get this off my back.

Let’s play why, why, why

How come when anyone else in this household gets ill I have to get it as well?

How come when they get ill it only lasts a day, maybe two, at the max? Whereas I am sick for a whole week.

How come I can’t sleep like I used too? Man I could sleep for several hours straight, now I wake up every so often for no apparent reason.

Alright, I’m done complaining, for now.

Gee, I haven’t been very talkative!

I have been so busy with the move and with dealing with this darn cold that someone brought home to me, I haven’t posted in a few days. I have been reading everyone trying to catch up but haven’t had a whole lot to say to be honest.

I did finally get a digital voice recorder the other day. Found it at a local flea market on a bottom shelf. Still sealed in it’s original package. It was only ten bucks so I picked it up and have been playing with it so far just to get the hang of it. I think it is going to make remembering some things so much easier, of course that is only if I remember to take it with me!
