Day seven and eight

The last two days have been fairly easy. I have been able to ignore the triggers and just go on. I only did one lozenge today so that is a big improvement.

I went to Sears the other day to use a couple gift cards I had to replace my small camera. When I got there I found the camera I wanted and the salesman said they had just one left. I paid with my cards and took my reciept to the merchandise pickup area. I sat there for around 10 minutes when a young man comes out and informs me that they do not have that camera in stock at all. I return to the register where I made my initial purchase and they refund all the money back onto one of the gift cards.

Unbeknownst to me, it takes up to seven business days for refunds to show up on the card. I tried to use it at another store which had my camera in stock. It was declined, declined I tell you. The ultimate in humiliation, no wait the ultimate is when you call the card company and think it is all straightened out so you come back in and try again. DECLINED…

I came home with my tail between my legs and read up on the cards website. This is when I discovered the waiting period. The waiting period ended tonight so tomorrow I will go and attempt to get my camera again. Hopefully they still have the darn thing in stock!

  1. I’m sorry but I firmly believe that people who are in their first weeks of quitting smoking should be absolved of ALL STRESS and handed everything their hearts desire on a platter. No questions asked, no strings attached.
Hope you like your new camera when you drive up to Sears and they bring it out to you gift wrapped and including a complimentary gift card for $100 just because you are smoke-free.
    Don’t mind me, it’s, well, you know…
