Maybe I should have had flood as one of the items on the Scavenger Hunt. Three days of rain on already saturated ground, not a good thing. Makes me glad we didn’t pick the property next to the pond which is looking more like a small lake everyday.
So anyway, we are under a flood warning and a strong wind advisory. The rain has pretty much stopped as far as I can tell so now I am waiting for the wind. This has really not been ideal weather and it’s really getting me down. Not so much that I can’t get out to take photos but that I just can’t go out.
On a semi-related note. Have you ever tried to get a child to hold still for a photo? Now imagine trying to do it with the camera about an inch from their face!
me: “but honey I want to take a picture of your eye”
child: “but your too close, you’ll poke my eye out”
me: “no baby, I will be real careful”
child: “well alright but not too close”
child: “OWWW daddy my eye”
me: “oops sorry”

OMG Jeff, I spent about an hour with a 10-month-old yesterday just like that. I got about 40 pictures of the side of her head. Quick reflexes is an understatement.
