It’s crazy out there!

They legalized all class c fireworks this year in Indiana. This has become a nightmare. All I hear all night is the boom boom boom of someone letting off those darn mortar shells. The whistle of bottle rockets and the steady cracking of firecrackers.

Don’t get me wrong I love fireworks as much as anyone. I just don’t enjoy them as much at 3 in the morning. I really like what little sleep I can get to be uninterrupted!

I have been enjoying the freedom to blow my fingers off too, much to my wife’s chagrin. She is not a fan of fireworks except maybe sparklers, she’s afraid someone is going to get hurt. I burnt the crap out of my hand while lighting a flasher tonight and had to act like nothing was wrong till she was out of sight, I would have never heard the end of it!

I started cleaning off my desk today. It’s still not perfect but you can actually see the wood finish now. Heck I forgot what it looked like for the longest time!

    I love fireworks, but not when I’m trying to sleep. Sorry you got a boo boo.
    I have to laugh, it seems that I am forever reading blogs where the man is like, “don’t tell my wife I did such and such.” Makes me wonder what PD does that I never hear about… Wish he had a blog ;-)
    Enjoy that desktop, it won’t last long. We rearranged afer the CRASH and I now have a shelf that I didn’t have before. It’s starting to get messy but the desk top still looks great…
