Sorry to go missing but I didn’t have much time to type up an explanation. There was a little problem with my leg that needed fixed.
Basically, I had a blood clot behind my knee so I was put in the hospital on Monday and just got out today. I am on a blood thinner and a nerve medicine. While in the hospital I had the pleasure of getting shots in my stomach. Very painful but still better than death.
I think the possibility of death can pretty much suck the fun out of everything.
See, I went in Monday to see if I could go back to work. While there I mentioned that the back of my leg felt as though I had just had a charley horse and that it had felt like that for the last few days. This was the first time I had seen this doctor show anything that resembled concern.
He sent me to the hospital to have a Doppler done on my leg, which by the way is pretty cool. It looked like I had a major storm system inside my leg, well except in one spot right behind my knee. That was when I found out that I was going to be staying there for awhile.
All is good and as long as I stay on the blood thinner for awhile I should not die anytime soon, sorry to disappoint anyone out there!
Jeff! I was starting to get really concerned that you weren’t showing up here. Holy crap, this was serious! I’m sooo glad you’re ok but hate that you had to go through all that. It had to be frightening. Thank God you’re ok now. Will keep saying prayers for you.
