Pardon the dust, I have been doing some house cleaning. I have mentioned before that I am a pack rat, no? Well I do it on my server as well. I had the remnants of the last several experiments and some test sites on here. Since they were just using up space I had to clean them out. That and for some reason Google started indexing one of them, stupid Google!
I love playing around with new sites. You never know when you are going to want to branch off and start a website about, oh I don’t know, chairs for instance. Now while what I have is fine and dandy for a personal blog I don’t think it would work very well for a chair site!
I think I have fixed all the bugs in this site, think. The last time I was sure about something it took me several days to recover from the mess that ensued!
Did you know that if you double space between paragraphs that it makes the post look twice as big?
I am sitting here, staring at a blank slate.
Maybe I need to go to bed!
I might just need more caffeine!
I would love to learn to relax a bit more.
I wish I didn’t want a cigarette!
I wonder where I am going with this?
Yeah, maybe bed would be a good thing!
Oh the title is the answer to the question: “How can you tell if an elephant has been in your refrigerator?”
I emptied the memory card on my camera today. Big whoop you may say, well it is for me.
I had pictures on there from October of 2006. Yes I had been toting them around all this time, too lazy to even stick the card in my card reader! That done though it did give me a few things to think about.
I really need to get out of this photo funk
I take photos of some really odd things
I can’t remember what this one was
I also noticed that my dog has grown a lot, A LOT! I hadn’t really noticed it before as it has been gradual but when I brought him home I could lay him across my arm and he would fit. Now it just hurts when he lays on my arm as he is bulky and prone to nibbling!
I also noticed that my girls are very predictable. The youngest loves to be a princess and the 10 year old doesn’t want to be whatever we picked out for her. The last costume she tried to get me to buy for her would have made her look like a mini prostitute and that wasn’t even the Bratz costume. I do not remember little girls dressing up like that when I was that age. I think my little brain would have exploded.
While I am thinking about it, welcome MyBlogLog members. Make yourselves at home but please wipe your feet on the mat before entering!
There was a small problem with the other template. I am working on it but for now I had to take it down and go back to this one. This is what happens when you don’t fully test out modifications you make before you go live!
I saw this place awhile back and took a shot of it. I fell in love with the lines on the house. From the shingles, which seem to meet in the middle to the roof on the entryway. It all added up to a cute little house that I don’t think anyone lives in, too bad I would love to see the inside as well!

I replaced the avatars in the comments. For one I seem to be the only one here with one plus the gravatars site has been upgrading for awhile now and no one is able to create one! That and it really got old seeing that stupid question mark there!
Sooooo, I replaced them with monsters! What’s that you ask? Well it generates a random monster according to your email address. The monster remains persistent for your email so you will always have the same one. That way everybody has one, no sign up required.
Have an awesome day. I have to go to work so mine is going downhill fast!
I upgraded my WordPress to 2.1 last night and it went without a hitch. Well almost!
To their credit they did say that some plug ins may be broken. There was only one that I have noticed so far and unfortunately it was one of my biggies! I use the link block widget to control the links in my side bar as I don’t want all the links on the page or it is huge!
For some reason when the re-did WordPress they decided to change the way the blogroll links work. They took out the table link_categories and replaced it with link2cat. They then moved the category names to the categories table so they sit alongside the post categories now.
They say they made 2.1 faster but I’m guessing they didn’t make the links faster as it is now making an extra call to the database and confusing the heck out of plug-in makers in the process.
I did fix the LinkBlock plug-in so if you want it for your blog let me know and I will send you a copy of the updated plug-in. I will be tweaking it even further as time permits.
