Streptococcus pyogenes
Took my youngest to the doctor today. She had a sore throat and a stomach ache. I knew that it would be strep since the 10 year old has it also. What I wasn’t counting on was the doctor asking me if my throat felt alright. “Well now that you mention it, my throat is a bit scratchy!”
In goes the giant cotton swab and then I get diagnosed with it too. Needless to say I am off work tonight and feeling rather glum. An odd way to feel considering my post yesterday. I would rather be there than home sick. I hate being sick, it bugs the heck out of me.
Oh, did I mention that my youngest did better at the test than I did? She didn’t do anything but laugh when she got swabbed. I, on the other hand, gagged and choked. Much to the amusement of my Anna, who laughed even more.

You’ve narrowly escaped the Valentine’s Day kiss I’d planned for you.
But seriously, I hope you feel better quick. Sore throats are yucky.
@Linda
Are you trying to get me in trouble?
I am sure by the end of the weekend I will feel fine. It just has to ruin the next two days!
Of course not. If I was serious, I certainly wouldn’t have declared it for all the world to see, now would I?

Hope you’re better today!
Ya got me there!
Hey. Was just trying to leave comments on the new photos in your photoblog and it wouldn’t take them. Too bad, since I had some really nice things to say… Will keep trying, I’m sure it was something I’m doing wrong.
No, I didn’t get you. I was joking. I do have a Valentine’s kiss for you and, yes, I am trying to get you in trouble! X
