Rednecks and gummy bears
They say you can never go back home, I understand why now! It’s not that you can’t, it’s that you shouldn’t! Oh alright, it wasn’t really that bad but still.
Went to my hometown for their annual food fest. The food fest is pretty much a chance to eat fair food before the fair comes to town. They also have a community wide yard sale, oh God help us. Since the town is chock full of rednecks I really don’t want to buy the stuff they no longer want to keep! Although my mom did buy a black man at one of the sales. Oh calm down, it was just a wood carving of one, those rednecks wouldn’t part with their slaves for anything!
Maybe they aren’t really that bad but then you never know. Just don’t go out in the woods at night.
They also had a car show, which I did enjoy. Lots of cool cars and a burnout contest. The burnout contest wasn’t as cool as the last one I saw but hey it is a small town and how it has managed to survive this long is a mystery to me. I got some shots of a few of the cars that I really liked, they seemed to follow a theme too, just look at these two:

Yep green seemed to be my color of the day. There were other colors represented there but these stood out for me. Oh and how about that last one in action?

I’ll put some more up on the photoblog later, see ya’all

Great post but too short! I love fair food and car shows. These cars are cool! I just thought of a good post subject- cars you’ve owned since you were a teen.
Over the weekend on our trip to NY we saw a few oldies but goodies on the road. I always get a rush.
I love your post titles
I used to live amongst the rednecks. Interesting group.

I’ve moved on.
@Linda: Short but sweet! They combined two of my favorite things there. And my post titles are usually nonsensical though sometimes they have a bit of truth!
@Cassie: But they are always good for a laugh.
Hey, Great article. Thumbs up on your blog!
