I am sitting here eating my supper. Yes I eat my supper at 12:45 at night, I work the late shift remember! Anyway, my wife made waffles and bacon for supper. I love waffles, but more importantly, I LOVE BACON!
I can eat large quantities of bacon. I can and I will unless someone holds me in check!
So anyway, I am sitting here eating my bacon and waffles and I notice something strange about the bacon. Not in a bad way, just different. First off, it is all very uniform in shape. Secondly it doesn’t quite taste the same. Don’t get me wrong, it tastes good, but again, different.
So I go on a quest to the garbage. I mean really, no bacon comes out all the same size and shape and all bacon tastes like, bacon! I had to dig, it’s obvious she is hiding something cause not only is it under some things I threw away this morning but when I find it it is turned upside down.
There it is, Hormel turkey bacon! You know, if this didn’t taste so good I would go in there and wake her up and give her a piece of my mind, but I don’t have any mind to spare at the moment.

I’ve never had turkey bacon. But with your recommendation, I’ll get a package and try it. Don loves bacon – and he especially loves bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwiches – heavy on the bacon please.
I haven’t eaten bacon for so long, you made me hungry. Turkey bacon is ok for a substitute but the real deal is the best deal… Oh and Waffles. Yum.Mee. You ever eat gravy on waffles???

It is quite good, at least the Hormel brand and when you are trying to keep from clogging your arteries it becomes even better!

I agree that it isn’t as good as bacon but it is good in it’s own right. And when you take into account the amount of bacon I love to eat, it may very well save my life! What kind of gravy?
Ham or chicken is best. I never tried turkey gravy on them, it sounds good. For some reason, I don’t think I’d like beef gravy on waffles. Please try it, you’ll thank me every day for the rest of your life…
Um, best on homemade waffles I would think. I’ve never tried it on frozen. Remember a post you did a loooooong time ago on comfort foods? Waffles and gravy definitely qualifies.
