Oh my goodness

February 20, 2008 · Posted in Blog

That was one hour of my life that I will never get back. I called Comcast today to find out when I would be getting my first bill, I think I should bill them for the time I spent on hold. See my cable company sold out to Comcast and I am already regretting it. When I called my previous provider I got through in about ten minutes, quite a change there.

So when I finally get a human on the line she tells me that I have the wrong department and she is going to transfer me to the right one, “please hold”. No, wait I don’t want to be on hold ever again…

So I finally got through to the right person only to be informed that they haven’t gotten all the billing done yet. I will be receiving a bill in march for two months service. Oh joy, I am so happy I have Comcast, they are Comcastic, and that is not a compliment.

Yeah, I’ve had my issues with Comcast, too. But it’s still a better deal than what I had before.

Within about the first six months after Komkast came into being (and by being, I mean the living, breathing beast that it’s become) I was convinced that it was a “front” for a huge govermint conspearissy. (and I spelled that wrong to deter undesirable traffic for you Jeff) I still hold strongly to that belief and if you ever have a couple of free hours, I will be glad to list you a couple of dozen completely viable reasons that I do.

Oh, and I’m here now to watch that Mighty Mouse thing and it’s gone. Please tell me I didn’t imagine it. Please. Cuz a similar thing has happened a couple times this week (other places) and I’m starting to get just a little paranoid.
    How are you feeling anyway?

Unfortunately I have no choice in the matter unless I want to go back to dial up, not gonna happen. So I will just deal.

Linda, there was a video posted. The mighty mouse was just a splash screen, the actually video was of me talking about nothing in particular. I took it down though, I was afraid I would scare small children.

We’re in the process of switching from Comcast to Verizon. We had comcast service for 7 years.
