I’m back!
Of course I never mentioned I was leaving. but thats besides the point. My wife and I left Friday at noon and went to Arkansas. We got back at 4:30 Saturday afternoon! Yes, thats 28 hours on the road. On the road, we saw a lot of this:

It was not a very scenic drive in my opinion. It had it’s moments, but for the most part, bleh. I took lots of notes and a few pictures which I will share over the next few days. Until then, May God bless you richly.

Been there and done that. I hate Arkansas Interstates! Concreate mostly with those darn dividers that go, “pocka, pocka, pocka!’
Glad you made it there and back safely. Wow, that’s a long drive. Hope you enjoyed yourself. I love open-road driving (with good company or no company and good music, of course) but don’t know how I’d fare for that distance.
And all your prayers, btw.
I notice you said “besides” the point. I’ve heard other people say that, but not many. I say “beside.” Is that a colloquialism indigenous to your part of the country?
(spellcheck said that’s right~ the c-word ~ but it looks wrong to me…)
How’s the smokelessness going?
Thanks for the blessing
I love a good roadtrip. I’m glad you made it there and back safely.
So, was there a particular reason for the 28 hour roadtrip, or is it a secret? Did it have anything to do with the moving targets and the undiscovered bodies?
@Joey: There are now stretches of asphalt as well so it’s more like Waaahhhhhhhh pocka pocka pocka.
@Linda: The smokelessness is going alright so far. I have been able to resist all urges! You are welcome!
@M+: We had to retrieve our daughter(my step daughter) from her less than stellar husband. Now that you mention it though, there is a lot of good area to dump a body!
Sorry to hear about that. It doesn’t sound like a great situation.
I thought I already explained; parts are better than whole bodies…
Very proud of you Amigo!
Hey, just as a side note, re: your and M+’s morbid fascination with “bodies and parts of”… PD told me once that if you bury the body in an upright position (read: DEEP) and sink a locust post on top, it will never be found… He shared that with me, coincidentally, as I was getting on his last nerve.
Linda, it’s not a “morbid fascination”, it’s more like “just in case I ever have to…”.
Apparently, PD has availed himself of such info, as well.
