As a parent you want your children to get along. You want them to be happy, well adjusted, and rich so they can take care of you in your old age. It’s moments like these, when they aren’t at each others throats, that I want to treasure and remember forever. Their curiosity, their innocence, I want that preserved. I know they are growing up, maturing, and turning into young women, but is it so wrong to want to keep them this way forever?

I can’t imagine two (or more) girls in a household… My kids fought like mortal enemies until high school when neither would leave the house without a civilized commentary centered on “Do I look ok?” I think that’s when they started to realize the value of a sibling…
Likewise, Hazel and I had our “moments.” Now I thank God for her every day.
Yep, enjoy those moments the best you can because all too soon, you’ll look away and when you look back, they’re grown and moving out. And life is never quite the same after.
