Preserving the past

I saw this awhile back and made a mental note to come back to it when I had the time. I finally made the time Saturday and went back out into the middle of nowhere to shoot this barn. I fell in love with it the moment I saw it and knew it would be a great subject. I shot it partly for me but partly to preserve it. The paint is peeling and the barn is starting to fall apart, so it is only a matter of time till it fades into memory. This way, I can still see it whenever I want, and now, you can too! I have affectionately come to know it as the Jesus Barn.

  1. I love it !!!
Maybe some charitable organization would be willing to help fund a restoration project…

  2. After a long day I’d just as soon forget, I’m enjoying this cool picture and a Klondike bar. Right now, life is good :-)
Gee, I hope there’s another side to this barn so people can see it coming and going.

  3. That is a good idea M+, but I have no idea how to get the ball rolling on it.

  4. The paint may fade and the color flick, but the memory of this work of art shall forever remain in the hearts of those who saw it. Cool pictures on both sides and post!!!!

  5. Let me give this some prayerful consideration. I may be able to point you in the right direction, but I’m gonna have to do a little research first.
