Well, the new week is starting and I am already looking at a very busy week. Between open houses at the school I want to send the girls to and a couple photo shoots, it is going to be a real scramble to stay on track.
I have been dieting lately, well sort of. I have been following the weight watchers plan that my lovely wife Becky turned me on to. I wasn’t real keen on the whole points thing at first, but I am getting used to it. I have found that I am able to live on substantially less than I have been eating of late. The hardest part was giving up my sweet sweet Mountain Dew, but there is a savior in that. I discovered that diet Mountain Dew isn’t too bad, as a matter of fact, it’s pretty darn good.
Well that’s all for now. I will probably write up some boring stuff here in a few days about the photo shoots and how they go. Oh and maybe a quick one on my homemade photo umbrella stand that saved me a small fortune over buying one made for that purpose.
The photowalk Saturday was pretty fun, except for when I realized that I hadn’t paid for the correct amount of parking and I was on the other end of the canal. Anyway, pictures to follow soon!
I entered the photos of Anna and Desi below in the county fair. The one with Desi won first prize, The other didn’t do anything. I imagine it was that big shadow of the light shade that may have doomed Anna’s picture.
Sorry, I dropped out for a bit. I lost a few comments on the last post due to a problem. Someone hacked me and took over my prayer site and was well on the way to deleting everything I had on my server.
Thankfully, I was at my computer around the time he started his attack. I was able to head it off before it got too far. I did lose a few things, but nothing I can’t get back.
I am still out there taking pictures. This week is busy. I have scheduled a few portrait sessions plus the worldwide photowalk is this Saturday. Things should slow down a bit here after July. Next week is fair week and I always have to make a few appearances there and take photos too.

These are really fun to shoot, while they are pretty overdone on the net I still wanted to put my two cents in!
Desiree’s came out alright except that I bumped the tripod. You really have to look, but you can find some spots that didn’t mix well because of that.
Anna’s was easier to shoot except I forgot about the chandelier so my bounce flash caught it and made a slight shadow on the cabinets.
I plan on redoing them both in the future, but for now I have actually clients who want photos done so I need to get to those!
I know I haven’t mentioned that in awhile and it bears repeating! God is AWESOME!
Why am I proclaiming this you ask? Well besides the obvious fact that He really is AWESOME, he has been working in my life lately.
Becky and I signed up for Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University. The first step in the program is to save $1000. Great, first class and I am already feeling shot down. It may as well be a million dollars for all I care. We only have one income at the moment and it takes all we got just to keep on track.
I fretted about this for the majority of the week. How can we be sunk right out of the gate? Friday I went out to get my mail and there was a letter from our mortgage company. An update on our escrow and mortgage, great, it just went up last year. I can’t afford this right now. I open the letter and find that our rate did not go up, it actually went down by about $60 per month. The best part? You want to know the very best part? I am sure that most of you homeowners know already.
Also in that envelope was a check for $1000.00 for the overpayment in the escrow account! Thank you God, you seriously are AWESOME!
Yeah, I am sure a nay sayer or two will come by and think “He should have known that was coming, it comes every year” No,while the statement may come every year it usually goes up or down very little. You can tell me it’s luck or coincidence all you want but God and I, we know different!
