The world I know.

Christmas is over and it’s just about time to ring in the new year. A new year and a new start. Hopefully a more prosperous year for all. As I read through my posts for the past year it occurred to me that I have become quite boring. Not really much I can do about that but try harder in the new year.

I have been on new medication for my depression for over a month now and as always I still see no improvement. The waiting is what always gets me in the end.

I received money for Christmas which was a welcome thing. I used it to buy a smaller camera to carry with me. My other point and shoot was too big to fit in a pocket so I had to carry it around in a small bag so it didn’t get used as much as it should have. This new one is slim enough to fit in a pocket and fires up pretty quick. Whether it will spur me to take more shots outside of my regular photo work remains to be seen. Time will tell.

It is not one of my regular brands of camera but it has so far really surprised me with it’s build and picture quality. It takes gigantic photos so they have to be sized down and compressed quite a bit or they would take forever to load on the site.

Here is one of the first I took of some heart shaped balloons(you’ll have to trust me on that since you can’t tell in the photo) trapped in a tree, I call it Love Lost:

  1. Great photo, Jeff.
You’ve never bored me for a second.
Hope the new camera opens a whole new chapter for you. And I hope this New Year brings five great things for every crappy thing you had this past one.
