    Wow, looks like some interesting weather.
    On our way home from camping this weekend, I noticed a lot of clouds that were more vertical than horizontal. Do you know what I mean? Was weird and a little disconcerting considering that in order for those vertical clouds to form, the air would have to be moving more up and down than east or west. That’s my way of thinking anyway, but I’m a meteorological moron.

      Actually you are partly right there. The updraft does help to make the cloud taller. If it had made it to where the jet stream was it would have started to make an anvil shape towards the top. Thos are ominous to especially as they get bigger.
