The title actually fits the post this time!

I have been trying to prepare for my appeal, unfortunately, they don’t really give you any help on this. I still have not received their “evidence”, they supposedly were going to send me. I am beginning to think that was just something to distract me.

There is so much wrong with this system it is unbelievable, and the government wants me to trust them with my health care as well? My caseworker refuses to return my calls or even answer her phone. Whenever you talk to someone there they talk down to you like you are a piece of something they found on their shoe. I understand that their job is stressful and they are constantly having to deal with people trying to game the system. I am not one of those and do not expect to be treated this way.

You can complain to public officials till you are blue in the face, but since I am only one voter they could care less either. I will be glad to see many of my current elected officials go. If the government can’t even handle the Medicaid or social security system they have now, I shudder to think what they will do to my health care once they have it in their grubby little paws.

Does our current health care system need fixed, yes. Is the government the ones who should do it, heck no. I’ll tell you what, as soon as you can make the postal system turn a profit I will let you handle my health care.

The last several days have been tumultuous at best. Bashing from both sides of the aisle have dominated the news. Sadly I have only seen one network actually defend the right.

I am a firm believer in free speech and all that, but some have taken that right a bit far. A lot of those suffering from BDS (Bush derangement syndrome) are suddenly offended by others exercising that right. Political discourse was alright when it was coming from the left, but now, they seem to take offense.

I feel that this is much bigger than a right wing or left wing problem. This problem is a lack of experience, knowledge, and respect. So far we have seen this administration allow itself to be seen as weak numerous times. (Source1 Fox) (Source2 AJC) (Source3 Reuters)

The left are attacking Christianity at an alarming rate, whether they are trying to remove it from America or just cripple it I’m not sure, but it is definitely injured. Mainstream media has even taken to bashing Christians. (Source Newsweek)

I know it is just a pipe dream, but it would be nice if all parties involved could get together and just agree on whats best for our nation. We are tearing our country apart bit by bit and who do you think will be coming to pick up the pieces? Probably one of the countries with a huge financial stake in us.

I hope and pray that I am wrong, that I am not witnessing the decline and fall of the United States, but it seems more and more every day, that that is just what is happening.

I attended the Indianapolis event. They say there were around 2000, it was hard to tell for me. I pretty much picked a spot and stayed put, which made for very few useful photos. I just wanted my chance to protest. Now on with the show:

Alright, I may be dense sometimes, and I freely admit that, but I think this is by far the stupidest thing I have seen so far. See, we have a program that distributes condoms to poor countries to help with aids prevention. Up until now, those condoms were being purchased from an American company based in Alabama called Alatech.

In a move expected to cost 300 American jobs, the government is switching to cheaper off-shore condoms, including some made in China.

Amazing, and when they wonder why still more U.S. companies fail, we will need  look no further than a failing government. Sure this may just be one little company, but that is what we are supposed to be saving are the millions of little companies all over the country.

Dear Mr President.

I admit, I am not a big fan of your policies to date. You have talked a big game but so far you have been throwing up bricks. You are now in position to do something very important for this country.

This omnibus bill is everything you campaigned against. It is now sitting in your hands. You have the power to make history as the first President in a very long time to take on the Senate. You could send a message to the American people that you are going to keep your word. You could probably even get the attention of some hard line conservatives and make them eat their words.

Yes Mr. President, you could veto this omnibus, send it back to the senate and tell them to trim out the unnecessary spending in it. Even if you only do it as a token, just to try and throw us off the trail for awhile. I believe that would be the single greatest thing you could do for our economy at this time.

With a flick of the wrist you can say “no more”, no more business as usual. No more big spending. No more fiscal irresponsibility. Today we will move this great country forward. Today we fix what is wrong with this system. Today we reestablish the greatness that embodies this country!

I have heard the same argument over and over. He’s only been in office for 40 days, give him a chance. I am afraid not, not any more. If we give him any more time he is going to destroy our economy. Obama lied, the economy died.

They scream that the economy started tanking a year ago, guess who was in charge of congress when that happened? I’m sorry if I offend but the far left is driving our great nation into the ground:

While I would love to live in the fantasy land that Obama’s die hard supporters are living in, I find that the door is just not there. How can one continue to support someone with such bad judgement? He continuously nominates people with either ethical issues or tax issues, and you want him trying to fix the economy?

How about Geithners new TaxMasters ad? I owed $34,000 in back taxes, thanks to TaxMasters I now run the IRS!

Yeah, I watched the speech last night. No I wasn’t all that impressed, although more upbeat than usual, he was pandering to the liberals a bit too much. He had a few good quotes, such as:

We will rebuild, we will recover, and the United States of America will emerge stronger than before.

And further in debt than anyone could have ever imagined.

And I believe the nation that invented the automobile cannot walk away from it.

Well I do not accept a future where the jobs and industries of tomorrow take root beyond our borders – and I know you don’t either. It is time for America to lead again.

Here in Washington, we’ve all seen how quickly good intentions can turn into broken promises and wasteful spending.

So I know how unpopular it is to be seen as helping banks right now, especially when everyone is suffering in part from their bad decisions. I promise you – I get it.

Heck yes, in a backhanded way. See, I have been out of work since July of ’08 and fired from that job since October of ’08. This was due to health problems that were beyond my control. I admit that at first I was bitter toward my ex employer, but I got over it as I realized that they are a business after all and I wasn’t making them any money sitting at home.

When they fired me in October they said that it was so I could receive unemployment benefits. Well since I am still unable to hold a regular job, I am ineligible for those benefits. Didn’t see that one coming at the time.

Fast forward to today. My health is still not great, still unable to hold a job unless they make some serious concessions. I could in theory hold a job where lifting heavy objects is not required, or standing for long periods, oh and I need access to a restroom several times throughout the day. Did I mention that I am nauseous all the time, yes I take medicine for that but it only helps so much. An attractive package to say the least, I can’t understand why no one wants me working for them.

But now, with the economy the way it is, I can’t even get a job as a greeter at Wally world. They are usually always hiring, not so much right now though. As I scanned the help wanted as today I noticed that most of the offerings there were those “work from home” offers that always turn out to be scams.

Thankfully, Becky still has her job, so we are doing better than some, but I can see a day when major sacrifices will have to be made. Hopefully that day is far enough away that we will have a solution for it before it gets here.

For now though, here is my wish in a nutshell. I want Obama to stop scaring the hell out of people. Yes I understand that the economy is in the crapper, but every time you talk about it, the market plunges a little bit more. For that matter, all of you in Washington need to stop talking and start doing. End the fear mongering that has become your trademark and start working on fixing the problems. Yes you say you are working on it, but to what end. Obama, you have to know what happens every time you go on TV and talk about how horrible it is. I know you are not a stupid man, maybe a little full of yourself, but not stupid. So please put a sock in it and get to work.

By the way, I have some really interesting ideas on how to fix the whole problem, give me a call! I’m sure you can find my number.

Will this ignorance never stop? Why do top execs get bonuses for running a company into the ground? I understand they need someone to run things until the closing is complete but at this juncture I wonder if maybe one of the hourly associates might not do a better job.

Circuit City proposed that 16 executives would split $2.3 million if they all achieve their targets, and the remaining non-managerial workers would be in line for $1.62 million if the bankruptcy judge goes along with the idea at a Feb. 25 hearing.
