Whats wrong with America today?

So I was in Walmart the other day, yes I know but bear with me.

I was looking for paper targets when a husband and wife walked behind me. The husband pointed to a BB gun on the wall that looked like an AR15 and said “That’s whats wrong with America today”. Aside from the fact that I practiced great restraint by not turning and telling him whats really wrong, he gave me the idea for this post!

So sir, here it is. Whats wrong with America today is nobody takes personal responsibility anymore. My kids lazy, its the TV’s fault, NO it’s your fault for not being a parent and shutting the thing off. My kids violent because of all the video games/music, NOPE you went out and bought that $400 video game system and games for it, maybe you should do your job as a parent and do a little guidance. TV shows too violent, turn it off or change the channel, again parental guidance. It’s your kid and you are responsible for them and what they are exposed to in your home. Your kids too fat, it’s not McDonald’s fault, you bought them that crap in the first place, get off your lazy butt and cook something healthy.

Now lets talk about you! Spilled hot coffee in your lap because you tried to hold it between your legs, don’t sue the coffee maker, sue your parents for raising an idiot who doesn’t know that coffee is HOT. Worried about whats happening to your country? Get up and do something, staring at the TV all day watching CNN and FOX does nothing. Write your congressman or senator. Better yet, go out and run for office.

Stop blaming all your problems on everyone else. Take some responsibility for your own actions. This country is falling apart because of people like you, and that’s blame well placed!

I have been neglecting my poor blog. I have a good reason and you can read about it over on my band blog. As for photography and storm spotting, well I’m behind on my photography projects and the few storms we’ve had here have been pathetic.

So yes, I’ve been bored, very bored.

Hoping for a bigger blog post, sorry no comprende.

So far every time I have tried to post to my site it has went down either before I got here or shortly after I logged in. Very frustrating, especially when the host can’t seem to fix it.

I have been so busy lately, getting ready for the stormy season and still trying to find time to write new songs. Plus the occasional side gig shooting photos. There’s just not much left of me, I’m being pulled in so many directions.

The Bible tells me that the Lord will not give me more than I can handle, I wish he didn’t have so much confidence in me some days!

Why oh why does everything have to be so difficult when dealing with you? I call with an issue and you escalate and tell me you’ll be in touch. A few weeks later I get an email saying to call at which time the person I talk to has no clue at all what they are doing nor do they seem to care about my problem. That call ends with the agent informing me that it says on the screen that my issue has been escalated and they’ll be in touch.
First off you overcharged me for a year, yes I know shame on me for not reading my bill. But I finally notice and you take the charge off and tell me it has to be escalated to get a refund. no biggie but then the next month my bill went up over $40. So you took off the errant charge and raised my cable and internet charges wow thanks! Meanwhile I’m still waiting for a refund which I am beginning to realize I will never see. It seems that since you have competition in this area now you would be a bit more competitive.
You’re making the decision very easy!

I’ve been writing music for awhile now, most of it will never see the light of day. Some comments I’ve received recently though have made me feel the necessity for this post.

First comment: “You’re music is all over the place and doesn’t follow the rules” Short answer: good. More detailed answer: I took music classes while in school so I was taught basic music theory. I understand it to some degree and could probably write by the rules if I really wanted to but, I don’t wanna!

Second comment: “I think your music sucks” My answer: That’s alright, I didn’t write it for you. My music is first and foremost written as my own personal worship of God. I enjoy it too. If somewhere along the line someone else likes it then that’s great too. It’s also a vehicle to give me the chance to share my personal testimony. When you come to see me, be prepared to dance, worship God, and find out just how messed up I used to be(and some would say I still am).

Ch ch ch changes

This blog has been through so many changes. I have used it to talk tech and talk photography, talk about the weather and about my walk with God. It has been used to talk about whatever passing fancy I may have at the time.

At one time I tried to spin off some things onto other blogs but that didn’t work out very well for me. I just couldn’t keep up with all my blogs and social media sites. I was thinking about doing it again, but then…

Nope, I’m just going to use this blog for all my different interests and try to categorize everything better so people can find what they want to make fun of easier.

Since it’s 2013 lets start it off right and lets have some fun!
