Me and the family went out tonight to a Warren Barfield concert. Tickets were given to us so the price was right. Afterwards though, I would have gladly paid. The show was great, not a big crowd so it was very intimate. If you haven’t heard of him then do a google search, he did the theme song for Fireproof if that helps.
Anyway, I did take my camera, not the good one, and got a few shots. Here is one of my favorites.

No, seriously, I don’t want surgery anymore, they have me too darned scared. Why oh who did she have to ask me if I have a living will or advanced directive? I know it’s part of the job but it still put a monkey wrench in my happy mood.
I took my camera with me today and guess what, I didn’t take a darn shot. I spent the entire trip back with a death grip on my steering wheel. I will need a new steering wheel now as I think I broke this one. It was snowing/sleeting on the way home and I have not put any weight in the back of my truck yet. Needless to say I had a hard time at every stop light in Indy. I was so glad to get home.
Oh, anyone else notice that our country is slowly slipping into some sort of “hell in a hand basket†death spiral? Selling senate seats? Or someone wanting a seat that has zero experience? The economy? Keep praying everyone, God has it all in hand.
K, going to bed now and hopefully when I get up tomorrow I will work on my portfolio to get something worthy in it.
I just realized that I have not worked since mid-July, 118 days if you want to get technical. Everyone here wonders why I am so stir crazy. I need to get this surgery done and over with so I can start finding work. Any work will do, heck even Mcd’s would be alright at this point, as long as it got me out of the house and doing something.
Sure, I am still considering starting my own business. The only thing really stopping me is fear that I am not good enough to do photography full time. I love doing it, but will anyone else love my doing it, that is the question?
Slightly off that topic, the camera on my phone died on me. That really is a shame because it was one of the reasons I picked this particular phone. In order to get it replaced I have to call AT&T and jump through some hoops with them. The big problem with that is that I do not have another phone to call them on and they don’t want me to call them with the broken phone because of some tests they want me to run. Now I have to find a generous friend to help me out with that, problem, I don’t have any friends locally who have a phone! GAH!
I am super behind on my reading. I have one I am reading for review and several others that I have picked up here and there that are in my to read pile! I need to stop messing around on the internet and get to it I guess.
Went to see the Colts play Sunday night. I went in skeptical considering their record so far this year. They did manage to pull this one off! This was my first shot at shooting a game with my new camera. It did alright but I still need a brighter lens. Here are a few of my favorite shots from the game:
We were sitting in the end zone. The good: we were close, the bad: that blasted goal post.

The only one who warmed up close enough was Dominic:

Apparently Reggie likes to dance before the game:

Fortunately, a split second later, the ref ducked!

I have more that I may post later, either here or in my gallery!
I haven’t tried it out yet for light leaks, but everything else seems to be working.

I wanted to post this Monday but I didn’t want to drop my book review down that quick, not that anyone seems to have read it.
So Sunday we had a special guest at our church. He was an American Idol hopeful, you know he made it down to the 44 but never quite made it to TV I guess. Anyway, he has an amazing voice and it really was a blessing to have him sing for us. I don’t really have much to say about it other than that, oh and I wish I could remember his last name. First name is Matt, just can’t seem to pull the last name from the old memory banks.
Well if you made it this far into the post you must be expecting a photo. You would be right. It isn’t fantastic because the lighting at our church leave a lot to be desired and I do not have an off camera flash setup YET!

You know I have stopped putting in the click to enlarge instruction because it seems to be ingrained in all our minds. Every time I see a photo I hover my mouse pointer over it to see if it can be clicked so I just assume that everyone else does it too, hence the lack of instructions!
This shot has been sitting on my cameras card for a bit. thought I should empty it now and maybe have a few shots to show for it.
I have never been able to do these justice, it seems like no matter which angle I shoot at it never turns out the way I want!

Ain’t they purty?
Well, the photos are still on my camera, but I need a break from girl movies or I am going to lose it. So I got on here to post one that I took at the wedding. It isn’t a work of art, but I like it and that is what it is all about to me!

The only things I did to this, aside from resizing for the site, was tweak the contrast and brightness.
