I can’t steal anymore grateful dead song titles!

I have murdered too many of them in the past and out of respect for the dead(no pun intended) I will leave them alone for this post!

It has been a long strange week so far. I have had a colonoscopy and an endoscopy in one day. I admit I was pretty scared going in, but once they started the I.V. they could have done pretty much anything they wanted to me.

What did we find out during this round of testing? Well the jury is still out on that one. They discovered a hiatal hernia and esophagitis. It just keeps getting better and better don’t it? So the results that they were looking for were inconclusive, so I will be getting another test! An enteroclysis, not only is it hard to say, it sounds very unpleasant. I am not looking forward to this at all!

In other news..

Oh wait, there is no other news at the moment.

Never mind!

I can’t see today going well, or the next for that matter

I am on a clear liquid diet today plus I get to take a bunch of yummy laxatives on top of that! Tomorrow I go in for testing, colonoscopy and an EGD. Yeah I am a lucky boy! Getting it from both ends in one day. Did I mention that I have been hacking up a lung since Saturday? Yeah it just keeps getting better.

Since I am miserable at the moment I am going to cut this short!

Well I think it went well!?!?

Had my visit to the specialist yesterday. All in all it was a good visit. She changed my medications and told my I need a colonoscopy, yay. Looking forward to that! Oh well, it was inevitable so I might as well get used to the idea.

I am going to be off work for the next three weeks, which means I am going to be tightening my belt a bit. I will survive, but it is going to be a pain!

I like my new doctor, at least she listened to what I was saying, which is more than I can say for the last gastro I had.
