This is the illness that won’t go away. Just when Anna got better Becky decided to step up to the plate and get it worse.

So lets check the scoreboard:

1. Anna, still coughing but otherwise ok.
2. Becky, down for the count.
3. Desi, root canal girl, whining more than usual.
4. Me, well I’m just me!

I have been playing nurse so long now I almost feel like I should be wearing some nice squeaky shoes and waking people up to take sleeping pills!

I put Desi on my phone plan, she had been hounding me to for some time and those pay as you go phones just plain bite! So she has a nice new phone, well new to her at least. See I took advantage of the situation. She got my old phone and I got the nice new phone.

I told you before I am a gadget freak. So whenever I have a chance to get a new gadget, I take it. It has a whole new feature set that I get to learn. The best part is it only comes with a quick start manual, so if you want to know anything above how to turn it on you have to go online and look it up! That’s alright though, I don’t read manuals usually. Experimentation is half the fun!

Alright, got to go now. I need to figure out how to turn it back off.

Sitting here watching “Ghost Adventures”, this show cracks me up. I am addicted to shows like this, not sure why but there you go.

Anyway let’s get to the point. I am ill, of course, and while I was staring at the TV I remembered that I hadn’t posted anything on my poor little neglected blog. I had gotten out the other day, not far or long, just waiting for Desi to get done working the car wash for her school. I did snap a few photos, nothing to write home about but they are better than nothing.

This was on the side of a pizza place nearby, too bad they don’t make cutesy ads like this anymore.

Sorry it’s not a technical masterpiece but all I had was my point and shoot with me.

You can tell it’s a slow entertainment night when Cupcake Wars is the only good thing on TV. Let me state that good in that sentence is subjective.

I haven’t been out to take any photos this has been a pretty hectic two weeks. One kid starting volleyball practice and one starting a new school. Desi is playing volleyball again this year, they have started practicing even though school doesn’t start till September 1. Anna started a new school last week, it was very traumatic, for me. I would have rather home schooled her so I would have company throughout the day. It is a good school at least, Christian bible based teaching. Once both girls are in school I will have no excuse for not getting out and taking some new photos.

I have lots of things on my mind that I would like to post about but it took me two hours to get this stupid laptop updated and ready to post. I am waiting for the screen to blackout again. Usually happens after a few hours. I need a new one but it isn’t in the cards for awhile.

So far this week has been rough. There’s been snow, lots of it. There’s been wind, which made the snow even more miserable. Of course it has been bitterly cold, when you factor in the wind chill. To top it all off Desiree’s great grandpa(her mothers side) died. She was upset for a bit but all in all she took it rather well. She went to her mothers house today so she can attend the services Thursday.

Me, well I have been learning how to use my new phone today. I’m not sure when it happened but somewhere along the line phones became more complicated than computers. I have faith that I will figure out how to work it before I die. No I didn’t get an iPhone, no need really since I already have the iPod touch.

Well since this post is about as exciting as dry toast I’m going to go now! Bye

Yes, I did enjoy my birthday, thanks for asking. It was a simple day, which was exactly what I wanted. Woke up late with Anna making me breakfast in bed, toaster waffles in case you are wondering what a 9 year old would be safe making.

That was followed by quite a bit more lounging and drifting in and out of consciousness. Had a light lunch with Anna followed by some vigorous TV watching. After that we went to pick up Desi from school came back home and waited for Becky to get off work.

Out for dinner at Pizza King, yes that is what I picked for my birthday meal this year. From there we went to our church prayer meeting then back home and sent everyone off to bed. That leads us to this point, my whole day in a nutshell!

Now I am going to lie here and toss and turn for a bit.

Still sick, went back to see doctor today, more medicine to take! YAY

Let’s get on to something a little more interesting shall we. This is a portrait I took of the girls just before Christmas. I am not super happy with it, I really need a better background and the lighting is a bit off. Why am I sharing it with you then? Cause I am sick and haven’t taken anything new yet!

The photowalk Saturday was pretty fun, except for when I realized that I hadn’t paid for the correct amount of parking and I was on the other end of the canal. Anyway, pictures to follow soon!
I entered the photos of Anna and Desi below in the county fair. The one with Desi won first prize, The other didn’t do anything. I imagine it was that big shadow of the light shade that may have doomed Anna’s picture.
