And the white flag is up!

I gave in and went to the doctor today. The bronchitis was getting to me, that and the whole “if I’m sick when my surgery rolls around they will cancel” thing. I was right, it is indeed bronchitis, a pretty nasty case according to the nurse. Anyway, they gave me some antibiotics and some cough syrup with codeine in it. I don’t think I should have taken the cough syrup and then tried to post.

I have some things I want to blog about but I am holding back because some of it might just turn some people away. It’s not bad bad stuff, just my thoughts on things happening in this country right now. I seriously wish that ALL the politicians, media, and pundits would pull their collective heads out of their butts and realize that they are not doing the U.S. any favors right now. To be honest, I think the thing that is truly screwing this country up is what is supposed to be protecting it.

That is all I will say for now, lets see how many hate emails I get because of that and I will go from there. I am now going to go enjoy a codeine induced sleep!

If you were subscribed to this blog via email, you will need to resubscribe. I changed the system and it is a bit more robust. That and it will not let me add email addresses manually. It works on a confirmation system. Anywho, if you still wish to receive emails whenever I post just sign up in the box to the right!

Hey cool!

I had been whining yesterday about my horrid luck and lo and behold if it didn’t change. Not till I got home tonight but anyway…

I was surfing around the other night and found this site called “Take My Tech” ran by Jason Burns of Philoking.com. Basically what he does is he posts his tech stuff that he doesn’t need anymore and then, well here let me use his words:

* Leave a comment on the item you want.
* When the item reaches 100 comments it will be randomly given away to one of those readers!
* Emails will not be sold or used for other reasons
* one comment per item
* rude or profane comments will be deleted!

Anyway, the comments finally hit 100 for the backpack I had been coveting and when he did the drawing I won, woo hoo.

From what I understand he is counting on ad revenue to pay for shipping and running the site. Sounds like a pretty cool idea and I hope it works out for him, hey maybe he could even turn a profit if enough people hit the site! Go check it out, you really have nothing to lose!

Zooooom

Wow this week is moving fast, it’s already hump day. Of course I realized that since it is already hump day that I have went a bit without posting. I get so wrapped up in reading everyone else’s blogs that I forget to post to mine until it is too late and I either need to go to bed or work!

Yesterday was crazy. Most of the usual people on my shift were either on vacation or had called in so I was left working with a whole new crew, which was actually not that bad. I wasn’t nearly as stressed as I usually am. We even had way more work than usual.

There were other things going on that I won’t air out here, but needless to say they did help make the day crazy!

Letting Becky use my camera for the next few days, the one I usually carry with me everywhere. I feel almost naked without it. I am sure that photo ops will be popping out of the woodwork now!

I have an inbox full of emails from comments and such that need answered so I better get on it!
