Rain Rain, Please Come!

Can you use arid to describe something that isn’t a desert? Even if you can’t my lawn is starting to look like the scrub that you find in the Baja. It is extremely hot outside, I don’t want to go out there. I also know that it will be extremely hot in the building I work in too, I don’t want to go there either! I want to stay in my comfy cozy air conditioned house and melt into the couch.

Back to the lawn though. We’ve been watering, and by we I mean my wife since she is the one up early in the AM. She has pretty much concentrated her efforts on the part of the lawn that can be seen from the street. She’s a smart lady and I appreciate the fact that she isn’t trying to put us in the poor house with the water bill.

I worry now that this doesn’t bode well for the 4th of July. If it doesn’t start raining soon they will have to cancel the fireworks, that my friends is a big bummer because I really love watching them! Does anyone know how to do a rain dance? If so would you mind doing one for us? We need moisture and we need it soon!

It’s over, thank you, thank you very much!

The fourth is now but a memory and soon the fireworks will die down and out and all I can say is thank God, maybe I can get some sleep now. It sounded like a war-zone out there Tuesday night/ It went on till at least three in the morning as that is how long it took me to finally fall asleep from exhaustion!

Wednesday was just not a good day. I couldn’t do anything right and when I got to work it went downhill from there. I was ready to put a bag over my head and try to hide that way, just to get away! When I finally got home from work I was experiencing the worst headache I have had in a long time, and it is still throbbing away, come on ibuprofen.

I am going to go read some blogs now, as I haven’t done throughout the holiday and try to catch up on all my favorite people and maybe even a few non-favorites, just so I am not playing favorites that is.

What I did on my summer vacation

I just know your dying to know what I did over my weekend, well I am going to tell you anyway.

First I tried and rejected about 15 different templates for my blog. I just can’t find one that suits my personality. I guess I will just keep modifying this one till it reflects me. Then of course I got rid of the old forums and added a new one that is integrated into the blog so it looks better and keeps my basic design.

Then of course after only three months I fixed the links page so it displays properly. I also changed it to display the last 50 links. It is basically a page to show links that I find while surfing. Some might interest you, some may bore you to tears. But there is only 50 so when a new one is added the one at the end will roll off!

I could really use a shoulder massage right now, any volunteers?

I forgot, I also added Technorati tags to posts and a tag cloud to the bottom of the page.
