One three day weekend down and one to go. I have taken extra days for both these weekends for fun and education.

The education was a marriage retreat that Becky and I attended on Friday and Saturday. We worked our way through the Five Love Languages video series. It was actually quite a bit of fun. I know a few guys may wonder what kind of fun there could possibly be at a marriage retreat. Well I learned a lot about some of my fellow church members, including some things that I really didn’t want to know. We have blackmail material!

The next weekend is my birthday, well the Friday part of it anyway. Feel free to send cash and expensive gifts my way.

Seriously though, I have always taken my birthday off. I think I do it mostly out of the fear of what I would do to my co-workers if they kept harassing me about it being my birthday. I don’t want to go to prison and have a cell buddy named Bubba.

Could someone call me when January starts? It feels more like late fall than late winter out there!

It’s not getting much easier but it isn’t any harder either. My sense of smell has increased greatly as has my sense of taste. I love my Mountain Dew and now it tastes even better, that my friends is what we call a bonus gift.

I had an awesome Christmas and hope that you did too. I got to see my family for awhile and that was the best gift of all. I think everyone enjoyed the gifts they got from me, at the very least no one went “what the heck is this?” I took that as a good sign!

In sad news my little go everywhere camera had an accident the other day. It decided to try and commit suicide by jumping from my coat pocket onto the driveway at work. While it still works for the most part the flash no longer works and I am a huge fan of fill flash so it is rendered useless to me.
