In three short hours I will be alone with my daughters for a week.

In four short hours the enormity of that last statement will sink in.

In six short hours the girls will be up for the day.

In six short hours and a few minutes the girls will realize the enormity their situation.

In six short hours and fifteen minutes I will be ready for the asylum.

Pray for Becky, pray for them, pray for me!

I did not do very well in most of my classes, I try not to let them know that because then they can use it as an excuse. I have seen that in action before so I will not make that mistake a second time.

Both girls have colds and I with my constant stomach problem, well we are making each other as miserable as possible. I do wish I had gotten a bigger truck, it is really hard to fit them both in the S-10 with me as they feel the need to try to kill each other with elbow jabs and bodily smells. That last one tends to take a toll on me as well though.

Alright, gonna go feed the girls before they turn on me!

I have some more photos of the other bands from the show Saturday night, but I haven’t worked on them yet to post any. So as soon as I can get off my lazy butt, no wait, I have to sit down to edit them too. So as soon as I get on my lazy butt and stop surfing everyone else’s blogs, maybe I can get something done!

For now though, I just took a pain pill since I am experiencing worse than normal pain. Now for bed, maybe!

I must say that Miley is really talented and I envy her energy level. She has a promising career ahead of her. I just hope she doesn’t fall into the same trap that a lot of successful musicians fall into. I think Billy Ray will see to that though.

I am soooo tired now. I have had a full day, the longest birthday day for me ever. I am outta here, see ya on the flip!

On the semi-bright side, I will be able to blog more again, but is that really a worthwhile thing? Being there when my girls need me, that is worthwhile! Holding their hands in mine, playing games, those are the things that make the day a lot brighter. I may joke about their being the spawn of satan, but really, they are mine through and through. Good or bad, there is no denying that they have taken on some of my characteristics.

Desi can be as sweet as honey but turn bitter when things don’t quite work out the way she wanted. Anna, she is a brooder, she will sit and stew in her own juices until well done or just break down and cry for little or no reason. There are days when I can look at both of them and see a reflection of me at their age. Those are the days that can really hurt me too. I don’t want them to have to deal with things that I did, I want to get them through the rough patches without them being affected in a negative way. Sure we all have to learn life lessons, but I want to protect them from the harder ones if at all possible. I want the best for them and nothing less will do.

I really want to hold on to the times we share, you know, save time in a bottle, but my bottle lost it’s stopper a long time ago. Seems like some of the good stuff leaks out now. That is the reason I blog and photograph when all else fails I will still have these records to remind me of all the fun we had and all the troubles. To some my writing may seem mindless drivel but to me, it is priceless, something to hold together the strands of time so they don’t get away from me. Sometimes I feel like the guy chasing his kite down the beach, that string is just slightly out of reach, bobbing and weaving and trying to elude me at every twist and turn.

Don’t get me wrong, I love children, at least my children that is. It is almost 2am and they are still yipping and yapping in their respective rooms. I have threatened and grumbled and threatened again, but it just doesn’t stop.

I have some cool things to talk about but I can’t do it right now, they are driving me to distraction!

Oh and it snowed here last night. Not as much as I hoped but I guess it’s better than nothing.

Yes Linda, I changed it back to the old template. I am surprised at how quickly I got tired of looking at the lamp one.

Fry Day will be back next week for sure. I already have a place picked out and I am ready!

I do my very best to look attentive but I usually end up looking fidgety and nervous, I can’t help it though. It seems like every conference in my life has been a bad thing and now that they are for the girls I have been conditioned!

This does not bode well for anyone!

These aren’t as good as previous ones but the wife is on vacation one was just too good to pass up. I hope this post finds everyone doing well!
