Ok, so anyway.

It was a long Labor Day weekend, in more ways than one. I spent most of it painting. Have I mentioned how much I hate painting? I think I would rather move than paint! We didn’t plan as well as we thought so it ended up taking the whole darn three days. In the end, it turned out rather well, at least Desiree likes it, so in my opinion, it worked out!

How about a picture or two of it? This first one is of the feature wall. Yes all the walls are that color but no her name is only on one of them.

Next up, how about the dresser? Same color as the lettering on the feature wall. I had to spray paint the hardware as there doesn’t seem to be much call for purple knobs!

Green and purple, nice combo!

I would love to sit here and chat with you forever but I have a pot of beans on the stove and I do not want to burn them!

Preserving the past

I saw this awhile back and made a mental note to come back to it when I had the time. I finally made the time Saturday and went back out into the middle of nowhere to shoot this barn. I fell in love with it the moment I saw it and knew it would be a great subject. I shot it partly for me but partly to preserve it. The paint is peeling and the barn is starting to fall apart, so it is only a matter of time till it fades into memory. This way, I can still see it whenever I want, and now, you can too! I have affectionately come to know it as the Jesus Barn.
