Fair time: the parade part three
Of course there were other celebrities. Rupert was cool, but they had my personal hero there as well!
Makes me hungry every time I see it.
PIZZA
Alright, I don’t have much today so I will leave it up to you. Linda did it, and so can I!
I am going to concentrate on one subject though, pizza. Who makes you favorite and what do you have on it?
Mine, I like the pizza from Maria’s, it’s a local place and I usually have it with just Sausage and pepperoni. They have these wonderful, large hunks of sausage they use and the sauce is to die for.
Oh man, I am drooling now!
Now, where was I?
Oh yeah, I remember now!
I was reflecting on things from my youth when I got all caught up in complaining about the world in general and my work specifically! So anyway the town I grew up in was small, very small. It didn’t have much so what it did have had to be special or it would go belly up pretty quick. The trailer factory pretty much made the town. It employed most of the people it seemed like. We will leave the trailer factory and my experiences with it for another day though.
Today we will talk about what was my favorite place in town. The Tastee-Freez, it wasn’t much but I loved the place. Whenever I went there I always got either a raspberry or chocolate shake and a pizza burger, the good kind with the cheese in the middle of the burger that dripped out and stuck to you like blazing hot napalm. Oh but burning your lower lip was so worth it when it came to those bad boys.
Like all good things though it had to come to an end. As people started venturing outside the city limits to do their shopping they also started eating out somewhere else too. The building itself was always the home of some ice cream shop or another. Oddly I can’t remember the names of them. The last time I looked it was still there but I didn’t have the heart to go in. I was sure that it just wouldn’t live up to my memories of it and sometimes our memories are all we have!
