Happy Labor Day
Happy Labor Day, a day to celebrate work by, what else, taking the day off. Oh the irony!
Pointless blathering
I have nothing, NOTHING.
Wifes birthday went very well. She really enjoyed the water fountain I got her. I will take a pic of it once we get it out of the darn garage and into the garden.
I was bored earlier, big surprise, and made a list of ways you can interchange bored and board:
1) Bored meeting (see how much more meaningful it is that way!)
2) Bored game (no really, I do tend to get bored with them)
3) Chairman of the bored (I can understand why after watching the bored meeting)
4) Alright there isn’t really a number 4 at the moment but if you think of some put them in the comments, I won’t steal your ideas, promise!
Verbosity
What do you do when you have nothing to say?
Write a ambling post about nothing just to appease the blogiverse!
I should be asleep right now, couldn’t do it. Tried, failed, surrendered.
Stopped taking the SAM-e for awhile to see if it might be the cause of my gastric disturbances of late. If it is I will be disappointed as it is the first thing I have taken that genuinely made a dent in the depression.
I was walking through the Sahara this afternoon, my side yard, and was thinking that right now Astroturf might not be a bad idea. I would be way ahead of everyone else right now in the green department. They say it is slippery when it is wet but considering the drought conditions that won’t be a problem. Oh, and it won’t turn brown when the dog pees on it either, stupid dog. Not that his urinary problems are having any effect at the moment but if it ever turns green again you will still be able to tell where he went!
I think I will try to sleep again, the pastor doesn’t like it when I fall asleep during the service.
Hello, I love you
Won’t you tell me your name?
The only reason I have made it so far this week is my music. If I didn’t have my little Zen player I would more than likely snap and go off the deep end. I have a little bit of everything on it and it serves me well. I have become very faithful in remembering to plug it in when I get home from work. It is my constant companion.
Here is where the problem comes in though! My cute little Zen player has a battery that only lasts eight hours, nine tops. Now if I am working a twelve hour shift, well you can do the math. I have been waiting past the first four hours before I start listening. Let me tell you that four hours of contact with some of these people is more than enough to do you in.
On a side note, if your bosses ever say we have a new system that is going to improve communication so everyone will know what is going on. Just laugh in their faces and tell them that Jeff says it won’t work don’t even bother. The problem with improving communication within a business is that it has to rely on people. These are the same people who can’t communicate in the first place and now you expect that having a meeting with just a select few will help? I laugh in your general direction.
Yeah, got that off my chest. Now I think I will try and get a little more sleep as I am running on 4 hours now and I would like just a bit more before I go in there!
Oh yeah, I love Saturday…
Wait what, it’s Monday already? Oh fudge!
Is it just my imagination or are the weekends getting shorter. Seems like you just get into it and then it is gone. Not that anything really great came of this weekend. No photos were taken, not much time with the family, and no large amounts of food were consumed!
Speaking of food, I have had a new complication. I now have to eat something fairly quickly or I lose my appetite. That is from the time I think about eating it to the time I take the last bite, has to be quick! My wife said she would love to have that problem, I don’t think she would like it if she had it. It is unpleasant and annoying to get something you really like and then not be able to finish it. I love food, and to have this happen is, well, devastating. You might as well rip out my heart. I lost my ability to enjoy coffee almost a year ago and now food is trying to go the same route.
