What I learned today!
Here is what I have learned so far today:
- 5 forty pound bags of potting soil can hurt you.
- tree saplings do not like to stand up straight when you are trying to plant the stupid things
- The friendly people at ***mart aren’t so helpful when you are carting around 200 pounds of potting soil(I guess they are afraid you might want them to help load it)
- A small 1.5 foot deep hole in the ground can hold an amazing amount of potting soil.
I did this all without my wife present so one of two things will happen. She will either be grateful for my putting forth the effort to get the trees planted or I will have put the flowering cherry tree on the wrong side of the lawn. I am betting on the second option there!
Well in spite of that fact
I’ll post anyway!
It was a very long day yesterday. Sick children do not like to let you finish sleeping, ever. She was feeling much better today, I told her so!
What else was I wanting to say?
Oh yeah, I love Beetlejuice, favorite movie. Becky rented it for me just so I could get my fix. Everytime I go to the store I look for it in the DVD section but they don’t seem to have it. They have classics like Attack of the Killer Tomatoes but no Beetlejuice. Why is that?
Well I am going to go downstairs now and watch my movie. It just occurred to me that I could have been watching it already, I keep forgetting I have the laptop!
Where have all the children gone?
I have noticed that I am getting more cynical by the day, this can’t be good. People I used to trust are now outside the loop. Is this a sign of getting older or just a sign that the world is getting weirder?
I plan to go out and shoot some more photos this weekend. Of course the best laid plans…
My cell phone makes my computer speakers make funny noises. At first it was amusing, now it is just annoying as crap. It seems to be louder at night while everyone else is trying to sleep. I end up having to move my phone darn near into the next room to get it to stop.
Alright, I am done whining now everybody get out there and have a great weekend!
The most important meal of the day!
I admit, I am not a breakfast person. Never have been, never will be. But every so often I just get the urge and have to satisfy it. Sometimes it’s just a bowl of cereal sometimes it is a little more complex.
Today’s urge was fairly easy. A chili omelet. I had all the ingredients on hand, which is rare. It was everything I hoped it would be and more.
On a side note, if I have to hear one more stupid joke about that dumb gay cowboy movie I may have to strangle someone.
Are the cartoons on nickelodeon getting stupider?
